The vision of Bright MLS consolidates tens of thousands of agents across the entire Mid-Atlantic into one unified system. The consolidation process is big and started just a few weeks ago in the Central Pennsylvania area. But doing big things isn’t easy. Inevitably, changes this big come with challenges, and this conversion is no exception.
As we began to unify real estate professionals and information, some changes were made to information within the existing MRIS system. During this process, we underestimated the implications these changes would have on you, our existing MRIS subscribers.
In consolidating listings from five MLS systems, new unique identification numbers were assigned for listings and agents. You may have noticed these, but you don’t know what they are or how they are used. You also may have encountered delays in updates to listings and photos on consumer websites, as well as problems with your IDX site or with services like ShowingTime.
We want to apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you, and we want to assure you that fixing any remaining problems is our highest priority.
We have compiled a list of questions and answers that will help you understand what changes have been made and how they might impact listings, along with suggestions to help you and your clients work with these changes.
