DAAR is proud to give back to the community by partnering with local organizations each year. DAAR’s Community Service Committee provides leadership in sponsoring and implementing volunteer civic and community activities of the Association and encourages participation by general membership in programs and projects to address local community concerns such as shelter-related projects.

2025 DAAR Community Service Partners:
We’re excited to be partnering with Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter and Mobile Hope of Loudoun County this year, and to bring awareness to these great organizations. Learn more about our 2025 partners:
LAWS Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services
LAWS seeks to empower victims of domestic and sexual violence so that they may live lives free from fear, anxiety, and danger. All services are confidential and free of charge.
LAWS has expanded to provide a full array of comprehensive services to all adult, youth and child victims of domestic and sexual violence. In addition to providing emergency shelter, LAWS also delivers assistance to victims at our Community Services Center where therapy, legal services, support groups, advocacy, and community outreach are provided. LAWS also operates a thrift store in downtown Leesburg called The Resourceful Woman and runs the Loudoun Child Advocacy Center. The Center is a public/private partnership among Loudoun County agencies and organizations dedicated to child victims of abuse and/or neglect.
Mobile Hope provides support and emergency shelter to youth up to age 24 who are at-risk, precariously housed or homeless and empowers them to become self-sufficient.
