It’s Time to Vote!

Your Vote Counts ButtonOn Tuesday, November 6th, a General Election will be held at all precincts in Loudoun County. On the ballot will be candidates for United State Senator, United States House of Representatives, two Constitutional Amendments, and two Loudoun County bond questions. Additionally, some residents will vote to fill Town Mayor or Town Council seats.

To verify your registration and precinct information, visit the Virginia Department of Elections website by visiting https://vote.virginia.gov. Voters in the South Riding area of the Blue Ridge District may have changed precincts.

Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

Question 1
Should a county, city, or town be authorized to provide a partial tax exemption for real property that is subject to recurrent flooding, if flooding resiliency improvements have been made on the property.

Question 2
Shall the real property tax exemption for a primary residence that is currently provided to the surviving spouses of veterans who had a one hundred percent service-connected, permanent, and total disability be amended to allow the surviving spouse to move to a different primary residence and still claim the exemption?

Transportation Projects
QUESTION: Shall the County of Loudoun, Virginia contract a debt and issue its general obligation capital improvement bonds in the maximum principal amount of $152,585,000 to finance, in whole or in part, the costs to design and construct Braddock Road (Route 659 to Royal Hunter); the costs to design and construct segments of Crosstrail Boulevard; the costs to design and construct improvements to Evergreen Mills Road (Northstar to Stone Springs); the costs to design and construct improvements to Farmwell Road (Smith Switch to Ashburn Road); the costs to design and construct Intersection Improvements throughout the County; the costs to design and construct Prentice Drive; the costs to design and construct a Route 9/Route 287 Roundabout; the costs to design and construct Route 50 Corridor Improvements; and the costs of other public road and transportation projects approved in the County’s Capital Improvement Program?

School Projects
QUESTION: Shall the County of Loudoun, Virginia contract a debt and issue its general obligation capital improvement bonds in the maximum principal amount of $98,820,000 to finance, in whole or in part, the costs to design, construct, and equip ES-23 Dulles North Elementary School; the costs to design, construct, and equip ES-29 Dulles South Elementary School; the costs to design, construct, and equip School Security Vestibules; and the costs of other public school facilities as requested by the Loudoun County School Board?
