In Memoriam: John Richard Kirk

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of John Richard Kirk of Berkshire Hathawy HomeServices of Leesburg, who passed away this week. He was a lifelong resident of Middleburg and a dedicated and beloved member of the town’s community. Richard started his career in the Loudoun County Circuit Court Clerk’s office in 1959 as a file clerk, becoming a deputy clerk and chief deputy clerk before becoming elected as Clerk of the Circuit Court in 1991. He served as Clerk for eight years before retiring in 1999. Upon his retirement, Richard remained active as a civil celebrant and also as a REALTOR® and substitute teacher in the Loudoun County schools. A memorial service will be held on December 28 at 11 a.m. at the Middleburg United Methodist Church.
