Speak Out Against Another Dulles Greenway Toll Increase!

Greenway Tolls to Rise from $4.65 to $5.65 – Oppose the Hike!

Supporting Lower Tolls on the Dulles GreenwayFor thousands of residents and businesses who use the 14-mile private Dulles Greenway in Loudoun County as a daily commuter route, the cost of using the road on has grown astronomically.  Despite annual increases, there is another toll hike being requested!

If approved, commuters who use the Dulles Greenway 50 weeks-per-year would pay $2,325 annually for their weekday round trip. If they commute onto the Toll Road at Route 28, the amount would increase by $2 each day and they will pay $2,825 per year. If their commute is during rush hour, the price soars to $2,780 and $3,325 per year respectively!

By Virginia law, the owner of the road, Toll Road Investors Partnership II, L.P. (TRIP II), is permitted to submit requests to the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) to approve increases on the Dulles Greenway. The state law virtually mandates approval of their requests!

Since 1995, all SCC requests for toll rate increases have been granted — despite opposition from public officials, residents and area businesses, including DAAR.

The SCC is asking for comments from the public on the latest request to increase your toll.

WE NEED YOUR HELP. Please send a letter to the SCC and oppose this increase by Wednesday, February 7th, 2018!!
